My Parents came late, the next day. They told me to reach my uncle’s house as they will be meeting me there and then we all will come back to our house. I was nervous, and I was not ready to tell my father about my passion, but however, I made up my mind and got ready for the get-together at my uncle’s place. I went there and met my relatives, and then lately my parents showed up, they looked tired but were pretending all excited. It was a nice time spending with relatives, but it was boring too. I am the only young boy in my whole family neither I have any cousins of my age, so it is pretty much boring spending time with relatives. The get-together went great, everyone was happy, or they were pretending to be.

When we all came back home, my father gifted me a laptop and was very happy with my performance in school. My parents were in their room and talking about the get-together. And I thought that it might be the best time to tell them about my passion and what I am looking for in the future. I went inside and told my father everything; he did not have any reaction and was silent for few minutes and then he started explaining the struggle I will face if I choose my way. Somehow I was getting his point; I never saw poverty and never had any financial problem. His way was secure and safe, whereas my way had many risks and struggle. I had promised myself that if my father doesn’t like my idea, I will not argue with him and will do as he wanted me to, so I did the same. My 12th grades were enough to take admission in a prestigious college in Delhi.
One week flew swiftly and now I was in Delhi. It was a new life and new friends. I can adjust very quickly and therefore I made many friends in the first week of my college life. I was pretty upset too; I had to leave my hometown and all friends, especially Vrinda. She was with me since 3rd standard and we were in a relation since 9th standard. She was the one, with whom I shared each and every thought and the one who knows me the best. Her absence annoyed me for a few months later it seemed normal.
I was not that far from my hometown, it was a 7-hour distance from my campus, and I used to visit my hometown once a month. But gradually my visits became less and I cherished living in Delhi more. It affected my relation with Vrinda. And after one year of college we broke up, still, we talk and used to hangout sometimes, just like when we were kids, friends again. So this is how my first year in my college went.
